As you have no doubt both seen and heard, the children are beginning to prepare for our Christmas celebrations. Classroom and school displays look wonderful, and our Christmas tree is decorated and in place in the hall. We look forward to welcoming you all to our Christmas productions on Tuesday 14, Wednesday 15 or Thursday 16 December.
Christmas Post
The school post box is now in place in the main corridor, at the foot of the steps up to the office. Children wishing to send cards to their friends and to staff may post them in the box, for delivery by two 'Christmas Postmen' each day. It is really important that all envelopes are clearly marked with the name and class number of the recipient. We have lots of children with the same first name, so unless there is a surname and class number on the envelope, it may not be delivered to the right person.
Father Christmas Afternoon
The Friends of Milford are all ready to help Father Christmas see as many children as possible when he visits us on the afternoon of Friday 10 December. If you would like to buy a ticket to see him, these are on sale on the playground, morning and afternoon, until the end of this week (£1.30 each). There will be fun and games in the hall all afternoon, so do come along and join in.
Governors' Report to Parents Evening
There will be no formal evening meeting this year for the presentation of the annual report, since very few parents responded to request one. Do remember, however, that the Governors are always available to respond to any questions or concerns that you may have, and can be contacted via the school office.
Cleaning Staff
We are in urgent need of people to 'fill in' when members of our cleaning team are absent. We try very hard to ensure that our school is clean and tidy, and it is very difficult to maintain our usual high standard when staff sickness strikes. If you would be interested in working with us on a casual (but, of course, paid) basis, please call in to the school office.
We look forward to sharing our Christmas celebrations with you over the next few busy weeks.
