Students will be taught the cause of world differences in climate. They will then apply their knowledge to develop an understanding of hurricanes and the effects of global warming and acid rain on the environment.

Students will be taught to use mapping and statistical testing to assess stages of development in nations. They will then research an economically developing country, Brazil, looking at lifestyles, political pressure and environmental issues.

Students will extend their investigation into development, using local environmental issues, in particular food safety.

Students will be expected to use ICT for research and presentation.
